When Joneya arrives in Camelot to help her brother investigate an impossible theft, she discovers the stolen artifact is the Oath-Seed - a relic of terrible power that was supposed to stay forgotten. Its removal from the vault has broken ancient wards and awakened Morgan le Fay, who has been bound to Avalon for centuries.
Now the Seed is active again, and someone orchestrated its theft to force an impossible choice: the Oath-Seed can protect one realm, but only one. Avalon or Camelot. The old magic or the new faith.
Protection demands a price - not Joneya's life, but something far worse.
Joneya must choose between the world that made her and the brother she loves. She is Avalon's daughter and Camelot's memory-keeper, the shoreline where two ages meet. But some sacrifices are so profound that only one person will remember they were made at all.
