Short story
A Lady's Gift
A gothic fairytale

A Lady's Gift-

A mother's love. A forbidden affair. A chance for redemption beneath the waves.

Nimuë, the Lady of the Lake, raised Lancelot as her son—then sent him to destroy King Arthur's realm. Years later, when both knight and queen return to her waters broken by guilt and madness, she offers them the ultimate gift: love without consequences in a world where different laws govern.

But some transformations come at a price even magic cannot undo.

A dark, sensual retelling where Camelot's greatest love story gets the ending it deserves.

Short author bio

Gentry Lee Burke is a figment of her imagination who resides in a land far, far away. Maybe that's why she loves writing fairy tales more than anything.

She's happy to report that she's survived the carnage that man her momma told her not to marry unleashed on her life. She's also the proud mom of four full-grown, absolutely perfect children. Just ask her, she can go on all day about them.

Though the philandering men have come and gone, the true loves of her life have endured--one teensy papillon, one monster-sized pomeranian who thinks it's a bear, and two precious rescue kitties. During the spare time she doesn't have, she's a runner, dancer, artist, avid cook, and full-time caregiver.

The tales Gentry Lee spins are populated with larger than life heroes and heroines, magic, the occasional dollop of southern sass, and sometimes super-steamy romantic encounters.
