Hi, I’m ARTZ., a fantasy writer, language enthusiast, and Belgian expat currently living in Japan.

I write emotionally charged, character-driven stories set in magical worlds where reality glitches, secrets unravel, and shadows rarely mind their own business. My debut novel, A Hidden Past & the Magical Universe, explores identity, grief, friendship, and what happens when the universe decides you’ve been lied to your entire life.

By day, I work at an international preschool, where I’m constantly reminded that imagination is a survival skill. By night, I build magical worlds, design questionable creatures, and occasionally belt out dramatic songs while cooking something unnecessarily spicy.

Living between cultures has shaped how I see stories, and how I tell them. The World of ARTZ is my creative corner of the internet, where I share my journey as an indie author, expat life in Japan, and the beautifully chaotic process of chasing big dreams across borders.

If there’s magic hiding in plain sight, I will absolutely try to write about it.
